does anyone have a write-up on how to remove and reinstall side mirrors on an 01?
is it difficult to do yourself??

I havent done it on a 5th gen yet but 99% or all cars are done the same way.

On the inside of the door where the mirror is there is usually a black triangle looking piece. Pop that off with a flat head screw driver. Its just clipped on.

Once you do that you should see about 3 10mm nuts. and a bundle of wires leading to a clip.

Now where cars can differ is if you have to remove the door panel to reach all the screws or the wire quick disconnect.

Either way once you disconnect the wires and remove the three nuts the mirror will just slide right out.
