-Optional 6 speed manual tranny, and all wheel drive.
-Convertible model design has been scrapped, sorry all!
-I have seen the pics (he wouldn't let me have them) and there are a lot of subtle differences between the 4 door and 2 door (flared fenders, lamp configuration, etc.)"

For those of you guys waiting on the G35 (or any other car for that matter), I strongly suggest you wait a tad longer! Especially if you don't need the 2 extra doors.

For those of you who doubt the AWD, remember that the Japanese market already has an AWD Skyline (the upcoming G35 here in the States).

If I had to choose between a 4-Door G35 and a 350Z, I'd take the Z. But between a 2-Door, AWD G35 (with VERY similar numbers to the Z) and a 350Z, no question I choose the G35.

aw man....right after i picked up a 2002 max..with the 6 speed..i was planning on trading it in after 5 years.....to a skyline gtr equivalent...but mannn this is too soon!..nissan needs to hold of for 4 more years....and then throw us a turbo AWD model..with the 6 speed...4 doors....

Oh great. Had my mind made up on the Evo VII thinking that the G35 would be underpowered. Now what? Umm...Kev, keep me focused man. EVO vs G35.

Do you really expect Mitsubishi to keep the Evo VII to the same specs when they bring it over?
Also, I've heard Mitsubishi has reliability problems. Don't want to rain on your parade, just don't want to lose another Nissan enthusiast.

I hate the taillights. They should have made them like the GT-R round separate taillights.

Some guy on another forum said he's read that the coupe won't be offered in a 6-speed. Possibly a manumatic or auto only?

 

Photoshopped. I forgot where I saw this on the forum, but it is flipped of the actual G35 photo, made two doors, and changed the color... Pretty smart, but not smart enough.

 

Heh, did some more reading and found out that site isn't very reliable. Sorry for spreading incorrect information. The car in the pic wouldn't be bad as the G35 coupe though, eh?

 

I dunno, personally, I think it looks to PLAIN for a coupe. Look at the R34 Skyline GTR and you will know what I mean.

Yeah, Mitsubishi engines have problems, but it won't be a problem with a rebuild later on.

I won't be leaving the .orgy, so you don't have to worry.

 

RWD G35 huh? This is going to really throw me off now between this, WRX, & MKIV.

 

The two main rumours are this:

1. 4000GT, Twin-turbo V8 (same engine from the GS400). Close to $90,000 or more. Suppose to run with the big boys (Viper, Ferrari, LAmbo).

2. 2jz-ge, Nonturbo, 300bhp NA, for around $30K and following the same look to the 2000gt of previous.

The second makes a bit more sense since Toyota has always loved competing with Nissan (300zx/Supra competition). I think Toyota will wait for the 350z, see how it sells, then make a the rumoured Supra around that. if the 350z sells lousy, 4000gt. if it sells well, the $30K, but faster than the 350z will probably be made.

Mind you, this is all speculation and heresay

imho, check the "squared off" front end, same engine, possibly drive train (rear wheel drive and trans options), any specs on wheel base etc to compare to the new Z? I like it either way! competes w/3 series coupe, acura cl, etc., and Infiniti's service !
