testing oxygen sensors for functionality? voltage, resistance?
guys,
can oxygen sensors be tested for functionality? the reason I ask is because I have some used ones sitting around, that I would like to test before installing. is there a specific impedance to test for or any other test to do?
thanks

There is a method to check that, it may sound odd and stupid idea, but it's a true and tried method before the OBD came around in the mid 80's. You'll need two things to have, a voltmeter and boiling hot water. put the O2 sensor in boiling water, the tip part, and take voltmeter on the electrical connector and you should get a voltage reading, since O2 mesaure the amount of heat and Oxygen content. If you get a voltage reading then it's functioning.
