fight to solve the p0300 code!!

so my car like many others have that multiple missfire code come up once in a blue.... i askd a nissan tech about it and he sed its usually primay sensors on their way out or a failing maf sensor on its way out also...so im not replacing the maf lmao.... so im going to be doing (soon not right away) 2 brand new primary 02 sensors....04 rear vavle cover with new gasket and also all new coils... u guys might not think the coils or vavle cover is nesscary but i made the mistake to not change them when i installd my nwp spacers... the cylinder 6 coil felt gummy and had a lil bit of oil on it( might be causing the code also)

I have the same damn problem. I just need one new coil pack I think. I got the valve cover changed. I cleaned up the coil pack before put it in. I haven't checked it after that. I'm going to see if it still gets any oil in it. I ordered only one coil pack and change the one with oil spill in it. If you want to wait for me to get it done see if it solves that problem??

misfires arent from the MAF check your coils or just change them all out. mine never showed which one it was so eventually i got tired of changing one by one and seeing if the problem still existed. so i changed all six coil packs and spark plugs. MAF generally has different symptoms. do a search on misfires and the code you will find alot, there may even be a TSB. i think some one is selling coil packs in the classifieds now but im not sure which year they're for.

sounds good...either way im doing it anyway to prevent it if i do have oil in it even more...i only get the code when its rele hot outside( i have headers0 and my friend the nissan tech said the 02 sensors are prolly on their way out and not reading the a/f ratio good causing the misfire because they heat up to much and to fast from the headers...so weil see

I initially changed MAF also. Could tell a diiference in performace still had code though. Finally narrowed it down to Cylinder #2 misfire, changed ignition coil on #2 and it appears to have corrected my issue. Cleared the code and it has not returned (been 2 weeks now).

how did you narrow it down? i have the p0300 "multiple misfire" but i dont know which cylinder it is. i took the 3 spark plugs in bank2 out and they have somewhat a lot of ceramic build up (i could not upload pix, ill figure it out)do i need to change them? the car has 63k on it and i doubt the previous owner ever changed them so... the injectors seem to work just fine according to FSM, i did not do the spark check on the coil packs to ground (ref FSM step 5...?). im thinking on getting new spark plugs to see if it solves the issue and work it one step at a time, since the injectors and coil packs seem to be working fine i think it would be overkill to replace them, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it".any suggestions?
