Suspension feels soft?

I have a 2002 nissan maxima SE, i'm going to hit 70k within about 600 miles. I've noticed recently that the suspension seems to feel soft or jelly (weird description, but it's all I can think of) when going around corners whereas before it's always felt stiffer. The car is completely stock and i just wondered what things could possibly cause this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Shocks must be out. All 4 of mine are out and it feels like an old Aerostar Van everywhere I go

Shocks/struts.

They've been deteriorating ever since the car first moved. A sudden change for the worse at this point would be sending me underneath looking for evidence of leakage from them.

I'd also be checking my tire pressures, because soft tires can also be a cause of poor cornering response and general softness.

You answered your own question......

most likely time for new struts/shocks....make sure to check the whole front end too while you are at it.

if the ride's bouncy at the same time then ur shocks are most probably blown...i had the same problem until abt 3 weeks ago when i got new shocks

If your just doing OEM replacements - KYB GR2's are my choice.

I have had both Tokico Blues and now the GR2's. The KYB GR2's are definitely more responsive. Just overall feel is better.

FYI: I found a complete set of KYB GR2's on ebay for $320 shipped. They have several. Just make sure the seller has 99% or higher feedback and that the sale is for all 4....NOT just the front or just the rear 2....some sales show an image of all 4 but sale only two.

Are you saying that the car has only 65K on it or that the struts do? I am just surprised at the 65K number.
