Aftermarket Leather
Aftermarket Leather
Hey guys, new to this forum and i love it. Bought my 2K2 6 speed Sterling Mist SE 5 weeks ago. Love it. Previously had a 97 SE 5 speed, The only thing so far the 2K2 isnt superior over the 97, is the Bose, the Bose in my 2K2 (IMO) isnt any better except of course the in dash 6 disc. My question is this, my SE has black cloth, wanted frost leather, but was happy to find the 6 speed- anyway do you all think the aftermarket frost leather would look right in my interior with the black panels and dark carpet? Or should i go with a charcoal leather instead of the frost to better match? Dont want black leather. thanks guys, looking forward to reaching 1k miles, so i can start having a little fun with my machine .....would like to smoke a "luxury driver" in his TL-S.
Re: Aftermarket Leather
Read the other thread about changing the interior color of your car. If anything, get the dark gray seats so it sort of matches the interior. Frost seats in a black interior would look funny.
OH OH, since I'm looking to change the interior of my Maxima to black, we can exchange the panels inside our cars! I have a frost interior on a 2K Black Maxima SE. You can have my frost panels and carpet, then have frost leather installed on the seats. We'd both win!
Unfortunately, my car is 2.5 years old and the interior panels are scuffed up. If you don't mind your interior looking 2.5 years old, then let me know and we'll swap
Or, you can go to a place like www.oem-car-parts.com and buy all the interior panels for cheap. It'll cost you something like $1000 for all the interior panels, dash, console, etc. You'd still have to buy leather seats from someplace else.

off the top of my head: take a sheet or blanket that is the frost color and wrap it tightly around one of the seats, at least then you'll be able to get an idea as to how it will look, IMHO it's just gonna look kinda off, but ya never know till you try
