Wut do you guys use/recomend for air filter...I got a k&n but ever since I cleaned it with d kit it comes with I keep getting d check engine light, so I'm thinking of replacing it....

Right now I'm using my stock intake with the HKS Hybrid Filter, but I also have my Berk SRI with the AEM filter. I also liked the A'PEXi filter as a filter but I hate how it's mounted.

 

Probably too much oil and fouled your MAF. I had a Berk Short Ram, but I went back to the stock setup with 3 holes.

 

You probably over oiled it, that's why you're getting the CEL. Try cleaning that MAF.

K&N is good but I now prefer dryflow filters since they don't have to be oiled. Amsoil and Apexi make good ones. There's an Apexi 3" dryflow FS in the classifieds, you just gotta find it. $40 shipped.

I have a JWT Popcharger and really like it. Haven't had anything else besides stock, so I can't really compare it.

 

I've had KN in my GAB for 3 years. No problems. You have to resist the urge to over oil.

 

haha i knew i hadnt over oiled my air filter, found my problem to my CEL



it wasnt cracked so much when i took it off but yea i was having an air leak that why i kept getting d code for RPMs too high!...so i went ahead and replaced it with an aluminum one

 

I replaced mine with an aluminum one for the same reason lol

 

where did you guys find the aluminum ones?

Stillen short ram. Comes with K&N and an adapter that looks way better than that, imho.

 

i got mine from O'reillys auto parts, autozone didnt have anything like this so i went to O'reillys and found this one...d holes didnt align but couple little mods and it all fit perfectly
