Random CD mix not so random?

I have BOSE system for my 2002, and I noticed that the same sequence seems to play over and again. For example, I encounter track 1-2-5 on many many occasions. Have you noticed anything like that?

A few other observations:

- Heated seats works very quickly
- NI Subwoofer vibrates
- Vent system is rather noisy, especially when is on defrost mode
- Speed sensitive volume doesnt' seem to be well-adjusted

Other than that, everything is more than cool

Re: Random CD mix not so random?

here's an example of search doing its job! Found this 9 month old post about CD "mix" not being random.

I figured I'd make a CD and burned it with artists grouped together, then tried to use 'mix' to shake it up a bit.... it didn't work. The 'mix' always plays the same 'mixed' order, which in my case means it plays 4 of the same artist in a row (7, 5, 8, 6 I believe). I realize the manual says "mix" and not "random" but I didn't figure it'd be the same every time.

Oh well... time to spin up the burner. At least it give me an excuse to take out one of the songs I never really liked.

I have to say, the Speed Sensitive Volume has been a bit of a disappointment. When you go from 69mph to 70mph, all of a sudden the volume jumps up. I have it set at Mid or Low these days.

well, is it the same "mix" when you try to eject the cd and put it in again? sometimes the mix just needs to be set at a different time because the computer just generates a random list according to the time. but then again, i have no clue. just a computer geek talking.
