Wondering if this will work good without giving me the Check engine light.

Odd they would include the 02 model year with the 3.5ltr with the 00-01 which are 3.0ltr engines as I have always thought the 02-03 and up had the thermistor attached to the actual sensor while the 00-01 do not. If your driving an 02 I would be some suspect of it working.

Mind you for the price you can always transplant the thermistor from your current MAF

Why would you throw away money? Go to a junkyard. it's not like there aren't many VQ35's out there....

A maf is the worst thing you can buy from a junk yard especially for our cars. Its like buying brake pads from the junk yard. Their sooooo sensitive to dust, dirt, and grime. When there is dust in them you lose performance, then when you try to clean it, you ruin it. Bite the bullet buy a new one (it'll last you at-least 60k miles, and some have a lifetime warranty when you buy new) for an 00-01 and check the writeup for making it compatible with yours (if its an 02-03)
