Can't decide on fog light hids

Who should I get my fog light hid kit from? I'm seeing huge differences in pricing and don't know where I should order a quality kit.

I bought HID's from hidextra.com and put them in my OEM fogs. Turned out pretty good.

I also have the HID's from hidextra.com. They include a nice heavyduty harness and their customer support is excellent. Get the little bulbs (3c?) for fogs.

H3Cs create a more scattered pattern in the 5.5 gen fog lamps, which leads to less road illumination.

If you're just going for looks, the H3Cs will be just fine. If you want actual road lighting, get the standard H3s.

Actually I'm working at this market. Especially most of my customers are the stereo shops.
I heard about the HID system recently from them, and they told me the slim balaster has too much problem than just standard balaster.
Actually there has digital slim balaster too. It's much small than slim balaster.
But it also same as slim balaster's error rate.

So if you want to buy the HID system, just choose the standard balaster. It's much cheaper than other balasters.

Hopefully DDM has good quality, I just ordered their kit for my max. 6000K all the way. My car is not a Lexus, so I don't want two big smiley faces on the bottom of my bumper!

Is that even English?

If you're going for the yellow look, pick up a set of Lexus yellow capsules and install those.

If you're going for anything else, get an HID kit and have a friend help you install it.

I went with ddm tuning, 6000k 35w, and for $15 less I get my hids and enough for dinner for 2 at BK (jk), you can't beat that.

H3's DO NOT Fit in 5.5 fog housings without removing the interior baffle.

ONLY H3c's fit.

What is with you guys who keep saying otherwise?!

If you remove the baffle, you simply have a glass lens with NO Cut-off....and THEN you're really ILLEgal.

oh and H3 DO FIT IN STOCK 5.5 Fogs i literally just put them in mine yesterday.......

I got mine from HID extra.com on cyber monday for 29.99 shipped. Nice kit for the price, and has a 1 yr warranty.

All i done to make the H3 fit was pushed the reflector a 1/4 of a inch forward and they fit in just fine.

Dude...that's not a stock fit.

All you've done is pushed your baffle lower, and effectively moved your cut-off higher, into oncoming traffics line of sight.
PHAT: the aforementioned "REALLY illegal" DEFINED.

Meh - whatever floats yer boat.

It Fits in the stock housing just fine. it really didn't move the cut off much at all. DEF not into oncoming traffics line of sight.

Im def no into having lights/headlights that cause more problems than they help vision. I hate seeing hids on cars that blind the hell out of you. My fogs def dont do that. If they did id go back with stock, ive had stock bulbs for 3 years now and they didnt bother me too much.

Good ONya Surra.

I agree - i wouldn't have lights that were "irresponsible", but there IS a tradeoff between having MORE light, and what the general public "perceives" as illegal/too much.

It'll take a few years for MOST drivers to get used to HID's....until then, I'll still get flashed by old people and rednecks.
