HELP WITH AC PROBLOM

My AC stoped working, When I press the AC button nothing but warm air comes out. I looked at the compressor and its NOT ingaged. I checked the 2 fuses and the relay and they seem to be ok. When I press the relay I can hear and see the ac cluch ingage but it does not get cold while doing so. Their is 12v at the relay . When I press the AC button it does light-up. What am I missing? I have seen alot of posts about bad blower motor, but mine runs and sound fine.

you have low freon. Probably a leak somewhere.

that's because there's a pressure switch that won't allow it to engage if the pressure is too low.

I have the same problem with my ac clutch not engaging, I never checked the relays. Does the ac/heat use the same relay/fuses? and it wont take freon the line is just full of air.

you must get an A/C service done and have them put the leak detection dye in the system, but the only thing i know is that its snowing in jersey and IDK why in hell you would need A/C

If you need to de-fog the windows, you need the AC to pull out the humidity.

not really though, yes the A/C kicks on when you hit defrost but all you really need to do is get the window hotter than the dew point, i have my A/C belt off my VG ATM and it clears em up just fine, at OP temp of course

The more moisture in the air, the faster it will defog with the A/C working.
