***PLEASE HELP*** BRAKES STUCK

hey guys.......
i had my right rear caliper replaced in warranty b/c the right rear caliper did not dis-engage after releasing the lever. Also the lever goes up about half way w/o any tension.

same thing occurred this morning. took it back to the shop and my buddy could not duplicate the problem, not sure b/c it got a little warmer or not. told them to keep outside in the cold over night and check it the first thing the morning.

Has anyone ran into this problem? I know the rear calipers are known to freeze.

Any feedback is appreciated so i can return the rental car (Hyundai Accent)

What's up Amit! Long time no see man. I've had some rear caliper issues as well, and I'm still trying to diagnose it. My problem, is that it won't engage when I yank up the ebrake, and it's super loose. I'm going to look into it more. The calipers are brand new, so I think it's the cable. Good seeing you again.

All 6 of my VW's i have owned all had the same problem, i used to have to replace the cable every fall, along with door lock cylinders.

I just got sick of changing the cables i stopped using the ebrake in the cold months and never had a problem with it. I know its a habit with the 6mt to it sucks

It's annoying for sure. Also, I had to rig it cause it wouldn't pass NC inspection with the way that it was acting. Retarded state laws.

check cable slack. verify proper connection to the calipers-its mechanical so makes for easy(er) diagnose and repair.
