Also, from what I've read, the D2's just are not built to the standards I am looking for.
I have a 8 month old I'm a single dad, I dont have time to repair Suspension.
I especially dont have time to replace it after a year or two whether it's warranty or not.

If I put it on, it should stay on and work for as long as the OEM Struts/springs would, or I won't put it on.

Has something changed in the build quality that would make me consider these?

Thanks for the great imput guys, helping my decision along, so many options.....
I'm running Progress Springs and KYB GR2s, The ride is good and it balances out the appearance of the car quite nicely.

My setup is practically brand new...PM me if you'd like too discuss a price. I will likely be making the switch to JIC coilovers in the spring.

I also live on Ontario, Canada.

My biggest concern with brand-specific would be cold temperature (seals, rubbers, etc) and corrosion protection. I don't know about you guys, but Ontario uses a lot of salt and that new road grime crap. Kills our cars.

I got the Eibach and the Tokico blues like the ride quality but if to do it again would of waited and gave Megan or another Coilover a try....

How about 160k over 3 years in Western MD weather on D2's? I had to replace both the rear shocks when I bought them (used from another member here) but after that they held up well.

Don't believe the BS about them corroding any worse than OEM stuff.

I think the big thing was blowing seals, etc due to cold temps affecting the oil/gas and everything, due to such high spring rates? Not sure I fully understand the reasoning . I was worried about corrosion cause we use so much crap on our roads up here (just south of Toronto).

Anyone else have long term good experiences with coilovers in cold temps?? I was just about ready to decide on getting coilovers until I heard this....Need some imput.

Yeah I'd never heard of Megan Coilovers prior to now either. So far people have had good comments about them, haven't seen any long term reliability reports as of yet though....so I'm leary.

Same. I may be going springs initially. I have coilovers on my dsm (Tein), it rides a little harsher in the winter but I don't drive it much so I'm not sure of true winter usage effects.

This is the biggest thing that worries me about going to coilovers. We can regularly get 14 to -4*F weather through brunt of winter.
Though the past few winters have not been that bad, 3 years ago it was much colder than that for over a month.
