Rear brake line leak

I have an 01 with a rear passenger brake line leak. It is a small drip everytime you drive the car. The leak is about a foot away from the caliper where the line rests in a bracket/holder. Is it hard to replace this by using a "flare" kit for the line? I searched several threads with no help. The line is original with 165,000 miles on the car. I spoke with several auto repair shops and they are stating they might be able to use a "flare" kit cutting out the leak and fusing back together.

If you don't have experience in repairing or fabricating brake lines, you should leave it to a professional. That said, being where you are the line is likely corroded and leaking near the flare nut, but my suspicion would be that the line itself isn't fit to be reflared and would need a splice of at least several inches, if not feet. Unless you're prepared for a large amount of work, I'd leave it to a pro

That's funny. Recently I've been noticing fluid on the ground at the right rear and it's not water because it has stained the pavement. I looked at my brake hose and it was wet right at that same bracket. Do these symptoms mirror what you saw? I've never had a brake line leak before in any of my cars....
