Ok cool, I got the s drives cause they hook really well, wet or dry, and arent as expensive as a nice set of bridgestones.

I've had great experience with the general exclaim UHPs for wet and especially dry traction (many 2.0 '60s at the track!) and wear slower than KDW-2s for nearly 1/2 the price. Not really sure on weight, though... I'm sure some of the more active autosports forums have some tire weight charts floating around.
My brother, who is more 'car sensitive', says it'd look great but i cant find any examples to prove him right or wrong. I'm liking the black daylites but the yellow strip kills me.
Just checked out those generals and they are 21pounds 225/45/17 instead of my 23 and are rated better on tirerack.com fwiw

9.5"s LOOK great, but if you're looking to save weight, as this thread suggests, 8.0 is the max I would go. Heck, 8.0 is also the minimum.
Sorta defeats the purpose of going lightweight, IMO.
If you could find a 9" that weighs less than 15#'s that cost less than your ankle, that be good.
I have 18x8.5 Z33 Tracks for the "look" and sorta lightweight, but not really. And i have my 17x8 for when I'm really wanting lightweight, race/dyno, etc. 38 lbs per corner is fairly awesome.
I don’t really consider the Z33 tracks lightweight because the diameter offsets any real gain, IMO. But nothing compares to those Boat Anchor Bandwagons I used to wear (MMEV5’s, 52 lbs per corner, and 18” diameter).
Besides, I think I need coilovers to make a 9 or 9.5 look ‘good’, IMO.

17" wheel weighs 14.3#'s and IIRC the Z33 track (8.5 version) comes in at somewhere just south of 19#'s. Tires vary. IBfillthemwithHelium.
Fantastic choices, and even better prices for what you get. Had I known this before getting mine..
Rochester, there are actually some RPF1's for sale locally...
$1000 with rubber.

I have some Enkei OR52's 18" 7.5 for sale...not looking for anything huge on them, like 20lbs a piece so that might be heavier then you are looking.

Interestingly enough, the exclaim UHPs tend to weigh around 15% less than KDW-2s, star specs, or most other high performance summer tires in the same size.
I'd really like to get some 17x8s around 14-16 lbs and exclaim UHPs in 245/40/17 or 235/45/17 for some 35-38lb/corner street tires. I'd even go for 225/50/16s on 16x7s... Would probably make a notable improvement over the track editions.

If you haven't already purchased your RPF1, you may want to check out some SSR competitions and Kosei. They also make some lightweight wheels. I see these 3 wheels a lot at autox, but I prefer the RPF1 even though they are the most expensive.

I wonder if Z32+A34 rotors fit under the 16" SSR's.
Or even the standars A34 brakes....The SSR's have a fairly BBK friendly spoke design. That be awesome
Time for some research

Those were my second choice in 17x8, but I couldn't find any when I was "ready" to buy. Apperently everyone I went to was 'sold out'.

I need to get a new set of 15s for my DRs first though... these 4th gen sawblades are not the best option.
