wheel play front passanger side
So i go to midas the other say to get my dynomax vt installed and upon there inspection they say i need a wheel bearing on the front passenger side they brought me out to the shop and they grab it at 12 and 6 and there is noticeable play i say hold off because i have an extended warr. w/nissan. i bring it to nissan to get checked out and they say they cant find the issue? hey im no mechanic but wheel play cant be good. I said midas said it was the wheel bearing they say its fine. WTF i told them ill be in tomorrow to check it out because i saw it move on the lift. Any tips? are they trying to avoid warranty work

Why not try taking your spare tire jack out, if you don't have any others, jack the suspect wheel up into the air, and try grabbing the wheel at 3 & 9 and wiggling it back and forth to show your techs what you're talking about?

well luckily for me this dealership you basicly drive right in and park so your walking in the shop so they will not be using that excuse and worst case ill jack the car up myself

Update: so now they call me and say "oh we found slight play in the front wheel not something we would mention but since you have a warranty we could replace it." i brought it in for that ii obv want it replaced! There should be NO Play. It sounds like to me they missed it and makes me wonder what else they missed because i brought it in for fact mait also.

My bearing went out and the hub welded itself to the knuckle (bearing was shredded, idk how it happened so fast). That's an extra 300+ dollars you don't want to spend. More than that actually b/c the abs sensor has to be replaced.
Also, check wheel nut tightness. Crank those *****es on there. That can ruin these parts by itself.

Definitely get your wheel bearing changed out. I drove on a bad wheel bearing (not knowing it was bad) and it snapped the axle nut right off with part of the bolt. Had to replace the axle, wheel bearing, and hub.
