FINALLY found 0-60 stats

I have been searching online for weeks to find any actual performance stats for the 2002 SE with 255 hp and FINALLY found it with many other car stats (including the Altima 3.5) at www.modernracer.com. Go to the Auto Archives section and click away. 0-60 is clocked at 6.0 for the Maxima and 6.3 for the Altima, so hopefully that'll end that debate (at least for me). I was considering a 2001 Mustang GT, but now that the Maxima has matched (and actually exceeded) the performance, I'll be looking to buy a sport SEDAN and keep my back seat. Not that I need too much convincing, but could someone please talk me out of getting a used M3 Sedan (besides my wife who thinks they're pretentious) instead of the Maxima?

14.3 in the 1/4 = about 6 seconds 0-60, I believe it.

If you live in a snowy area, you'll love the FWD Maxima. I've had a few rear-drive cars, namely a few '80s Monte Carlo SSs, a '76 Monte Carlo, and a '96 Impala SS. The larger ones (old Monte and the Imp) were much better than the SS Monte's in the snow, because they're much heavier. I wouldn't want an M3 as a daily driver here in NJ, that's why I just bought a slightly used Y2K Maxima SE. My hotrod project is an '85 Monte SS that I won't take out in the snow, period. BTDT, didn't enjoy it at all.

yea but that site they dont tell you if the speeds are relevant to a 5spd or a auto? I mean I know most of the time it is the Manaual.

But for the max they dont state the 1/4 mile.

if money is not an issue, and you can afford to maintain your Beemer, M3 is a better investment than Maxima.

Automobiles in general are terrible investments.
