upgrade to se rear + black head lights

From gle to se rear end also smoke side markers w/ led lights and black head lights.

i traded my gle tunk for a se trunk plus cash i basically wanted a spoiler but the trade paid off seen that i had the se lights and the se trunk emblems are dark instead of chrome.

I don't like the rims and you need a drop but the rest of the car looks on point.

That's not a SE, so it's dumb. Man up and ditch the SE badge.

But the headlights look good. Nice job on that.

LMAO at the 'SE swap'. Extensive
on removing the SE badge, even though I think that's the main reason you did this whole thing.

And I 100% Disagree with Rochester, I think those lights look terrible. You blacked out the signal portion way too much IMO. I wouldn't have blacked it out at all, I would have done the edging around it (like the AE lights).
And from that picture, it looks like one light is darker than the other.

Who cares about my opinion though? I hope you like it, and if you felt the need to post it, my guess is you do.

And as such, I'm not even going to comment on rims/drop.

In defense of quick opinions, I'm not overly familiar with the 5.0 gen headlights. That's your bailiwick, Tuner. Given the details you've addressed with your AE, you've got better judgment in that area.

But the SE badge... that's just wrong. The OP can misrepresent his car all he wants (as long as he doesn't try to sell it that way), but those door handles are a dead give-a-way. And I'm guessing the plastic steering wheel doesn't like the SE name, either.

It doesn't matter if you're familiar
If you like it you like it, who cares what I think?
I was just offering my opinion.

And I like the unpainted mud flaps/guards much better

shoulda just swapped the taillights, never been a fan of those headlights. you wasted money putting cash on top for that trunk no matter how little you put on top, IMHO. sorry. BUT if it makes you happy..........................it makes you happy. as far as the pinstripe, it takes no longer than 30 minutes at the most to get rid of it. that was my first 'mod'

I see what you did there, and I figured as much; that you got a great deal on a SE trunk, which meant you could get a spoiler on your GLE. And that's fine, more power to you. Nice find.

However, there's a difference between looking like a SE model, and actually labeling your car as such... unless you put the letters "FAKE" in front of that badge, in which case all is right with the world.

Looks good for how far along it is. if it was mine, and i know its not, i would
1: drop it
2: remove pinstrip
3: Could care less about the SE badge cause once you drop it and replace the susp it is basically a wash
4: Rims...maybe black with a machined lip or silver 5 spoke
5: i think painted mudflaps look so much better, less in your face but make it look more complete.
6: full black out oe grill

I think the drop, pinstrip delete and better rims will make that car look waaayy nicer... but good start.

If all you wanted was a spoiler, they have them on ebay. Here's a link to an unpainted one. The same supplier also has the painted ones for double the price.

He only paid $80 for the entire trunk + spoiler, and didn't have to drill holes, paint, etc.

Read the thread.
