CF AE Engine Cover - ChinoXclusive
Have to finish and fix some minor imperfections but you get the idea...test fit it below, comments welcomed

I like it, Chino. Need close-up shots to really see what you're doing; (without the watermark) like around the raised letters. But it makes a good first impression.
If you're going to start detailing that engine bay, you've got some work ahead of you.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback
Umm not sure yet
It is, I tried to get a manufacturer to do it but it fell through and since i haven't seen an AE Cover in CF weather real or wrapped figured it would be something new
I will as soon as I "iron" out some of the more noticeable imperfections
oh and trust me I know that engine bay will never be near as clean as yours
lol it was just a "test fit" haven't installed it yet...pending how much wrap I have left may do some of the caps and whatever else I can squeeze in...stay tuned!

Look forward to an update! What CF wrap did you use? I was going to buy some from these guys> http://www.metrorestyling.com/login.asp
I'm really really leary about getting anything CF for my car though, I know one thing will lead to more, and then I will have to go all out Panda styles

Thanks...It's def a pain in the because of all the curves and such but it turned out better than i though...as I said just have to fix some of the stuff that is bothering and tighten it around the "VQ3000"
You're a graphic artist. You're all about details, so it should come naturally to you.
if i attempted to do this i think i would have removed them emblems, done them a smoked color, laid the CF then put the emblems back on

But the whole car is getting revamped so wait till the Spring
You could always shave the "V6 3000", sand it down smooth, and the wrap should cover it over nicely. And then on the outside of the wrap, in the same place, adhere the MAXIMA trunk badge lettering.
Eh? That sounds really nice as I'm thinking about it right now. Look at the image again below with that in mind.

rroderiquis77 had the large V6 3.5 professionally shaved and filled and sanded smooth before his cover was painted.
yea...nothing a little fiberglass or filler couldnt take care of. but i do love my AE cover as is. but this is definitely dope. would be sick if ionic would do some of these. probably be expensive as hail though

...unless you get out the exacto knife and cut the wrap to the edges of the raised letters, which actually looks very do-able, based on these cel phone pictures. Have you considered that?
So does that stuff apply like a tint or is it a sticker if i didnt just get my stillen lip painted and roof spoiler i would have tryd it on that i bet it would have looked sick

If shaving the letters is out, and you can't adjust the wrap around the V6 3000, then you're really out of options...

A razorblade though.... hmmm not easy, at least, not very cleanly. It's possible though just very tough to get really really clean cut

yes sir, the "V6" is pressed from the back where the "3000" seems to just be placed ontop of the cover
I was trying to figure out what a "chinoXclusive" was, when I realized this is Chino's very first 5th gen forum thread.
Aw-w-w.
Isn't that special?
Fixed.

Yeah thinking about it, going to see how it looks after I clean the engine bay a bit and add some small goodies, have some more wrap so will probably wrap all the caps and covers here and there
Will never look as clean as ROCHESTER, lol, but lets see what happens as soon as the weather gets warmer here in NY
Thank you

CF wrap on the caps? I'm hard pressed to see how you could do a 90 degree wrap on a circular edge against a ribbed surface with raised lettering on the top. Chino, I don't think you thought this idea all the way through... but good luck with that.
If it's the yellow that's bugging you (and rightly so), you could paint the caps. But that will always look, well, painted.
Another option is to simply replace them with Murano caps, which are identical, but black.
