Coilovers! What do you guys think? Or Loweing Springs
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-N...Q5fAccessories
so i was browsing ebay and and guy around my house is running these on the front of his car but he has a 98 and i drive a 02. do you guys think this would work?? tthe only reason why Im looking at this because its inexpensive and i can measure the height that i would like to get bc actually purchasing a set of spring bc i cant choose between H-tech, H&R, Vogtland, and Progress.
To be honest, the only reason why I am indecisive is because i pull a jet ski and dont know if once i change all the struts for either Monroe or Tokico with new lowering springs Im affraid it would rub in the back due to the weight I would be pulling.
Please help!!! Looking to pull the trigger on buying everything soon, hopefully in the next 2 weeks.
heres how it sits with the ski attatched. will get better pics asap..

You're going to rub if you're hauling a trailer man. Are you serious?
You're only real chance at lowering and still hauling that is getting a heavy rear spring, and they don't make one for our cars, you'd have to get it custom made.

another reason why i am asking is bc ive seen a new g37s slammed with tein pulling a ski just like mine ( weight wise) and he said he has no rubbing. so thats why im trying to ask and find out would everyone thinks.
You won't rub on the stock rims...they tuck too much.
Search IS your friend, though. These have been discussed several times...complete and total garbage. Save your $88 and put them towards a set of real coilovers.

Im really considering more now the H-tech because on the even drop and it sits a bit lower (compairing to shiftice.com) but i think the H&R would be better for my needs.
Im stuck between those two now. I realized that the other two would be too much of a risk and a low drop for pulling the ski.
what do you guys think i should do?

^^^ and i think i just might save those $88. the dont look anythin close to d2 coilovers lol
as well, forgot to mention, i wont be using stock wheels. i will be using these that i got for $200 from my bro in law with 80% thread left on them after he got aftermarket wheels for his g35...

I remember you posting that picture a while back.
ANYways, if you really want a drop, I'd recommend just dropping the front a bit, and leaving the rear. You're going to have issues if you drop.
The G35 is a completely different car, don't try to compare them on this aspect, the G35 has IRS, and is RWD, and also has a much better suspension set up than we do.
If you somehow manage not to rub, you're almost definitely going to bottom out constant in the back.
I just think this is a really really impractical Idea for a Maxima. Maybe someone has a suggestion on a way to make it work economically, but I think you're going to be unhappy with the results when you try and tow.

The way I'm seeing this you have two options here:
1. Lower the car, buy a truck, and haul the jet ski around with that.
2. Stay at stock ride height and keep pulling the jet ski with the Maxima.
Lowering the car and hauling the jet ski just isn't gonna happen. If you do decide to lower it, DO NOT buy your setup from eBay. Not unless you're buying an actual name brand. eBay + suspension parts absolutely do not mix.
Like they say, cheap, performance, reliable. Pick any two.
Search around, there's a lot of threads on here about coilovers and what your options are.
