Bolted a bunch of stuff on..with pics!
The Bolt on Battle.
Took me like 5 days of slow paced uneffing a bunch of rusted bolts and what not, but I finally got everything* installed. What's everything? Well, I already had an Injen CAI, Greddy EVO2 catback, and a Tokico/Eibach set up.
What I installed this past week was:
OBX headers
NWP block off plate
NWP spacers
UR UDP
Ive got a VAFC2 waiting to be wired in and I bought an LM2 wideband as well.
Here's a bunch of pics:
Parts coming off.

UIM off, bunch of stuff unplugged, committed to the job at this point.

Jacked up...I got used to it being so high up that when I finally brought it back down after 4 days I freaked out thinking something was wrong because it went back to being low.

Next 3 pics are the heat shield over the Y-pipe/rear manifold, I literally cut and ripped this thing in half to get to that last bolt.

Cut off stripped, seized and rusted cat bolts.

Exhaust Manifolds off aka Beer Day.

Jack wedging breaker bar to "blip" off the crank pulley bolt.

Stock pulley, new pulley.

Shiny.

Headers installed. That sensor is just there until my wideband comes in. Still need to get my O2 sims.

Pic of the car when she's clean. My bumper is forever screwed thanks to a deer I hit. Go before show IMO.

Vrrooom. Obligatory exhaust clip.

i decided against the UDP because i couldnt find one w/ the stock diameter, but i bet it helps. i just decided against it because i was still planning on putting a decent stereo system in it and i do run a/c. but nice job man
How long did it take to do the UDP? I have been toying with do i get one or not. All the reviews are 50/50 so no real yes or no in it doing anything. I still want it just to have the TR. Found one on ebay for 80 or best offer.
Where did u get the headers from?

Good work, OP. From what I've read, getting those OBX headers requires patience and creativity. I particularly liked your, "show before go IMO". Very catchy.
You made me look. Unorthodox stopped selling their OEM-diameter lightweight pulley for the Maxima. Weird. Isn't there anyone else who makes one? I've had mine for 2 years now, and I can't say it was entirely worth the $200/new pricetag. $80 to $100, maybe, but not 2 bills.

Thanks, that's my bolts bucket. I thought I was gonna spill it the whole time, and then didn't until the end.
I don't even know if it did anything TBH. The whole thing is faster though and who needs music when your car roars?
The UDP was the easiest thing next to the Spacers/BOP. I got the headers on Ebay for 380 shipped. I gotta say, they're pretty nice.
Haven't seen my 4AT get to 120 this fast ever....
First drive was open headered to the exhaust shop to get the y pipe bolted to the cat. After I grinded the stock bolts off I thought Id be able to get what was left out, but it was too rusted and too far gone. It stripped/crumbled. First drive was scary loud too. I recorded my open header sound but I didn't rev it since that was the first time I started the car haha.

Haha thanks, yeh theyre definitely a pain in the *** install. Like it's terrible how difficult they were.
TBH Ive been drooling over your engine bay for a long time. I just can't get that into it lol. This is my daily driver for like 6 yrs. I wasn't even gonna mod it until I started feeling the need to see what she can do/get some practice taking things apart before I move to the next stage in my automotive ownership: building a drift car.
Like sex for my ears.
TBH I haven't ground down the crossmember far enough and my flexpipe is rattling at the moment. It kind of irritates the hell out of me. Ill take care of that when I put my wideband in.
OBX headers are not for the impatient. For maximum happiness get a shop to do it or get some hardcore tools...
Oh and it moves....so it needs a bracket like somebody else that had this install before me did. The stock manifolds have a bracket, and these need one too or it moves and makes noise right under your center console.
Also...the car revs faster, hits like 110 with revs to go in 3rd, and I havent gotten past 120 in D. Yeh, autotragic. On that note, the AT seems like it's having a hard time dealing with the power, but then again it is a neglected 167k tranny.
Either way, when I hit the gas I: smile, laugh, hit 3800 rpms, and vrooooooooom (+rattle).

Kinda waiting on the tranny to go to get that done....I really don't want to pull down this transmission and get it done just to have the thing go out on me a little bit down the road. Good to hear positive feedback on it though, thanks.
Ill be installing the VAFC 2 and the LM2 wideband next Thursday. Then street tune, take it to a dyno for a baseline, and then April 10th there's a terrible track that Im going to go run it on in Wendover, NV.

100% worth it. I, also would never do another header install... However it was worth all the effort by a long shot.
If he keeps a stock muffler in the mix, the drone will be nonexistent. Just as NmexMAX the stock muffler guru.
Seriously though, I ran the stock muffler with headers for like 2 days, it was hard to differentiate from stock.

Never say never, right?
Want to go through the car, make sure everything is up to snuff (suspension, brakes, etc) before I start spending any serious money on it. Probably do the small stuff first, STS mod, NWP block plate, test pipe, etc. Probably going to need tires in the next 4-6 months at the rate I drive. Already put 2400 miles on it in the first 5 weeks I've had it.
Nice not adding oil all the time, that's for sure. Changed the oil a few days after I got it, only added half a quart over 2100 miles.
If I can add headers (and O2 sims work properly for me) and keep the drone away, I'm definitely interested in them.
