inner tie rod

inner tie rod
How do you remove the inner tie rod clamp towards the back of the boot? I can't get it off for anything.

I just took a pair of dykes and cut the dang wire off.

LoL I tried using some wire cutters and cut the part that has a U shape but it wouldn't cut through. Either my cutters aren't sharp enough or I am not cutting the right area. Which part of the clamp did you cut?
