Question about an AE front bumper

This may be a stupid question since I am not very familar with 5th gens. But is the front bumper on an AE maxima the same as an SE just with the AE lip added?

The reason I ask this is because I am picking up an AE maxima that has been hit in the front. I have sourced a SE bumper. So I would like to know if I can pick this new front bumper up and then just attached the AE lip to the bottom of it, or do modifications need to be made?

Thanks for any help.

yes it is the same bumper with just a lip attached to it.

are you picking up the blue AE posted here?

here is a picture of my AE. you can see that it is just an add on, i believe it is on there via tape and screws.

thanks for the quick response. Yes that is the car I am getting.

So does anything need to be removed from the SE bumper to fit the AE lip or does it just fit over everything already existing on the SE bumper?

It is just a basic lip-kit like the one Stillen makes. The lip is secured with tape and screws.

OEM one is nearly impossible. Replicas are out there.

The "OEM" lips were not really OEM. The whole AE body kit was outsourced and installed at the port of entry. There are Nissan part numbers to the pieces but they were their aftermarket numbers. They were never shipped from Japan with the kits installed. I had the part numbers somewhere a few years ago but not sure where they are now.

Good Luck and enjoy your AE!
