sup guys....I'm thinking of buyin this indiglo needle kit for my 2001
max. Have any of you guys seen this yet? Sh*t looks nice but I heard there may be problem after installation.The guy I go to who puts in most of my mods was warning me that if I decide to put in the indiglo needles that there is a good chance that all my readings ill be inaccurate.

I was told that anytime you mess with the needles it is more likely than not that they will not read properly. For examply I may be revving at 2,500 rpms but the gauge will indicate 2,200 rpms.
Or maybe I'm actually driving 80mph but the speedometer reads 75 mph.

Is this true? I guess it's possible but I was thinking that if the guy knows what he's doing there shouldnt be a problem at all.

I mean if its a direct swap.. Same weight/size, then it shouldn't matter right??

 

 

so far I don't think those indiglo replacement needle works for 5th gen.. I believe they only work for the 4th gen... I could be wrong though

 

The kit probably won't work on a 5th Gen unless you have clear needles.

 

acMAX, I have opened up the speedometer unit, and I believe your friend is right. I wanted to get to the back of the gauge faces, but they would not come off unless I took off the stock needles. Now I tried to take them off with a screwdriver wrapped in cloth, but no luck.

Then I still thought when I stick them back in, how do I know I am sticking in the needle at the SAME EXACT spot that I took it out in?
