mileage screen busted

mileage screen busted

hey guys just picked up a cluster to replace my current one becuase of a faulty gas gause. turns out the new one works perfect but the mileage seems that i got damaged during shipment contacted seller and were workign somethign out. is it possible to swap these screens out. maybe i can use the workign one from current cluster. thise would be mena i would have take apart carefully knowing me thats not going to happend lol. i was going to send it out to get reprogram to my current mileage but now i gotta wait and see.

I don't know for certain but I think that the odometer LCD is soldered in. If you can solder or know someone who can, it shouldn't be that big of a task.

You might want to try cleaning the contact pins of the cable(s) that connect to the cluster with some alcohol. Sometimes that does the trick.

im sending out to get reprorgammed to current mileage that guy told me he would fix it for me since the guy who sold me the cluster is going to pay for it lol. but good to see that my my wondering gas gaude problem is finally going to come to its end lol

Thanks. I never looked at it that closely when I had my cluster out. I did a bad thing - I assumed it was like the clock.
