Can anyone help me with this? I need a passenger side dash air bag for my 01. I asked my dealership and they said that the only bags they can gurantee fit on are production date 2000/10-2001/10. Some ebay auctions list 2000 bags as fitting any year fifth gen. Others say that a 2000 airbag will only fit a 2000, I am confused now. Does anyone know what air bags I can use on my 2001 maxima with a production date of 10/20/2000. Thanks.

 

01-03 Dash Airbags are compatible according to le system.

I do not know why 00's are soooo special, but it's telling me the 00's are unique... Not giving me a cutoff date either.

This is based on the Hollander Interchange system, they're pretty **** about part #'s and matching, if it matches on the Hollander it will work, for example this is the same system that says you can not put a Murano motor in your Maxima, that's how **** retentive it is.
