I was so confused coming into this thread seeing the word retrofit being used to ask about putting different seats in.

That projector looks really good. How hard was it to fit it in the high beam spot like that?

I was confused, too, because I know the OP has Infiniti seats in his Maxima.

And then I saw the Borg implant in the headlight.

You park your car in your bedroom? Or, do you sleep in the garage?

The headlamp was off the car mounted and powered by two ballasts and a battery.

Definitely room for improvement. Should have mounted further back and I would have preferred to use a larger projector after seeing the amount of space available.

Factory Low Beam

Projector only

Together

Well I was gonna mention the ones that put up the religious front, but I didn't want to spark any controversial arguments with that one!

I'm so confused of the direction of this thread? Retrofit Seats? Retrofit Headlights? Retrofit bedroom cleanliness and getting laid?

Looks like the thread is trying to cover all of it's potential bases, so I'd say the direction of the thread includes all of the above.

Question for ya OP: are you using the projector as an upgrade for the high beam or a replacement for the crappy low beam?

Looking at what you did, it almost seems like it would be easier to put a single projector in the high beam spot and calling it a day instead of hacking up the low beam for a retrofit.

I dunno greg, but I love the idea of using the High beam instead of the low beam spot, looks much better there!! The sheild/cover you used looks too borg'y' though. Wonder if you can smooth it out so it's not so stand-offish?

Thoughts?

I really like theprogress here though, manyprops

I actually like the way it looks the way it is. If it were possible to add a second red bulb inside of it to get it to glow red, now that would be effin' sick!
