HELP Car is Making an ODD noise!!!

I have a automatic 2001 Nissan Maxima and its making a funny noise. The noise sounds like it coming from the back side(firewall) but not sure. Attach is a video link of what it sounds like. It happens when I first start the car, after it’s warmed up, when I put it in drive, reverse, and, when I turn the car off. The car still drives and runs great. No SEL, switches gears great but the noise is driving me crazy. HELP ME OUT!!!

Is the noise coming from under the hood or from inside the car? You say it does it when the car is turned off.

So as a pure guess, if the sound is from under the hood, I'm going to say check the rear motor mount.

Yes it's under the hood. Is the rear mount electronic like the front is!

The 5.0 gens (2000 & 2001) had front and rear. The 5.5 gen only has one.

It could also be the IACV.

Well just came back for doing some testing on the car. I unplug the rear and front mount it did not make the noise but when I plug it back up and turn the key it started to make the noise again. Then I crank the car up it the mounts plug in and it started to make the noise again. I then unplug it and the noise stop. I plug it back up and it started to do it again. I think we found the problem. If I'm correct you can ride with the mount unplug correct. I will be ordering these part soon. If anyone has anymore Ideas let me know.

Yes, you can drive the car with the engine mounts unplugged without any problems. If you want, you can replace them with the standard transmission mounts that are not electronic. So ten years from now, you will not have the problem again. They also cost less money.
