How to install wink mirror and keep your sun visors and sun glass holder useble :- )
What you will need two Wink Glue-On Windshield Mirror Mount Kits, Torques bit, Marker, Glass cleaner, rubing alcohol and time (20-30mins) and patience
1) Removed existing rearveiw mirror using torques bit and unhook clip that feeds power to the auto dimming mirror, tuck wire into roof liner.
2) Screw mounting stems into back of mirror. hold mirror at desired location on windshield and mark new location for mounting brackets
3) Clean desired mounting location on windshield thoroughly first by using a quality glass cleaner to remove dirt and grease. Then using isopropyl/rubbing alcohol and clean cloth to remove remaining residue to provide an ideal clean surface for the adhesive. Make sure mounting area is now clean and dry including mounting bracket.
4) Select mounting bractket , Apply adhesive from tube onto back of bracket and spread to a thick even coat. MAKE SURE CORRECT POSTION FOR MOUNTING BRACKET IS SELECTED.
THIS IS A PERMANENT ADHESIVE WILL BOND ON CONTACT AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE REPOSTION.
with the rounded end pointing up, press glued side of bracket firmly into place.
5) Place a strip of tape over bracket onto windsheild to maintain postion and provide slight pressure on bracket while curing.
6) I would allow 24 hours for adhesive to dry/cure before placing new mirror on mounting bracket.
7) Place mirror on bracket and enjoy all the new view :- )

Then again, if you really think about it, most mods aren't completely necessary. This is just one of thousands of mods out there that can fall into that category.
Perhaps some food for thought:
The supposed purpose of these is to eliminate blind spots, ok, let's say they do that as they're supposed to, that's a good safety feature.
Now, consider where you need to focus the majority of your attention while driving - forward, so we put an obstruction AND distraction in front of our eyes all the way across the window and directly in front of our eyes. This obstruction supposedly helps us change lanes faster though, so it's worth it?
Try driving with your window shade down and the vanity mirror exposed for a day, and tell me it's not distracting.
just food for thought, especially in regard to the comment about why OEM's don't use these, or why the D.O.T. DOES NOT ALLOW THEM on the street.

In terms of:
Is what I meant.
*Edit, 105% of Chevelle owners and Impala owners would shoot anyone that compared that car to a Maxima.

WOW that is an excellent video. I had chills.
The mirror is definitely...different. I just dont see the reasoning to spend money on it when you can just adjust your mirrors properly and/or turn your head.

Well after driving around with it for a night and the day... Wow coparing the stock rear view images, to what you see thought wink mirror is admazing. You can see completely around in a nice clean panoramic veiw without even having to turn your head, Definitely improves vision and wide view reduces any blind spots..
Going to just take it in for a few more days and report back on the wink

lol I have dark tint and the way the mirrors are angled in the wink prevents that from happening. I had a friend pull up behind me and tryed it to see what would happen.....Nothing and thats with 75 watt 8k hids high beams
Oh, and 75 watt eh? HID highbeams eh?
obviously your friend has HID's in halogen housings, perhaps if he had PROPER lights in his housings, aimed properly, and actually DESIGNED to be a high beam light, then the situation may be different. Very, very bad point you tried to make there.

Man i'm i loving the new veiw, Actually get better side veiws with the wink then the side mirrors it self, I can kind of compare it to watching a movie on 32'' RCA flat screen tv for years then up grading to a 65'' VIERA GT30 Series 1080p 3D Plasma TV ... Yea i have one of those
Either your friend spent a lot of money putting 75 watt hids in their honda or they're full of sh.t..
I would like to see more pics, suprisingly it doesn't look as cheap as I expected from the pics so far. I want to see the mounting, side view, and view from front, etc though before I make that determination.

So naturally he's running industrial aircraft 75 watt HID ballasts, Clashez mirror allows for an aerial view around his car as well
Wattage Type: 75 W
$62.99
That doesn't sound like much to me but i guess thats just me
Guess what is to you doesn't apply to me Please don't wore up my thread

beats me but i always thought of the maxima as a new school low rider / hot rod,
One of my favorite mods so far.
