Just my $.02, but how many guys are actually dropping more than 3"!?!?!?! that's just ridiculous, our suspensions have crap travel at a 2" drop, any more than that and you're stressing the crap out of everything and affecting ride quality and handling. Any more than 3" and you're bending axels and control arms. Our cars just aren't able to handle those types of drops without killing the driveability, my car, and most of our cars, are not show cars.

Some people perhaps like changing components every couple months? I dunno but that's just silly to me.

no offense, I know you're slammed, and your axels probably sit almost bent static. Done diff bearings yet? How many?
I do it because my car with a 4" drop looks better than it would with a 2"-3" drop. Simple as that. I dont mind swapping out suspension components because I do it myself and it's not that hard to.

Yeah no doubt I love your stance man. We each have our own styles, and if it were reasonable for me to go much lower, I would too. Unfortunately for me it's no longer resonable, costs are too high and I have a little dude to take care of, my free time no longer exists, I need reliable mods (or reasonably reliable).

Quite a few would say that even I'm too low, but I'm fairly comfortable with the suspension geometry. That and without spacers, a tire swap and/or a pull I can't drop much more anyhow, at least in the back where I need it most. Otherwise I probably would
Well.... I probably will actually Once I get tires for it, SOO EXPENSIVE!!!

I think it's sitting pretty conservative:

No it's just because the Rays spokes dip in well before the bead. And the G37's spokes extend past the bead. The actual outer dimension on my rims is closer to 23.5"

Rim dimension is bead to bead, this is why the actual 'rim size' can be so deceiving depending on spoke style. Also why 18" rims with a dish, or volk-style, look more like 16-17" rims at a glance.

I'd still take those Rays over my Enkei's, wanna trade? Mine are wider

Your car looks perfect at that height. I wouldn't touch it. If I had another set of wheels i wouldn't be this low. Lol.

Oh, hi! That would be me.

But those Enkei rims off the G37S Coupe are beautiful, and look fantastic on your AE. Don't change a thing.

Fantastic setting for that picture, btw. Shame about the quality, though.

I have to install my QT link. I'm rubbing pretty bad on the back end passenger side. +25 17x8's with 245's don't leave a lot of room.

LOL, and thanks man. Yes I was very disappointed that the picture didn't turn out would have been a nice shot. I don't know why it went fuzzy, I took two pics and they both turned out that way. Oh well, the car was filthy anyways.

So where are you sitting, any updates on the ride, and settings?

I love the ride, but I wish I had about 10mm rubber urethane isolator on the front springs.

Center of wheel to fender is 13-3/4" all 4 wheels give or take 4 days of settling in. I may have to increase the setting on the rears. At 7 clicks, going to try 4

Hey how many clicks do your dampers actually make? Mine are like 27 or something silly like that, even though they're supposed to be 16 way.....

Currently I'm about 10/27, with 0 being Full stiffness. I carry consistant weight in the trunk/back so my settings are equal all around.

The teins are only supposed to go to -16, the counter clockwise settings at more than -16 are for the service technicians. 0 is stiffest so I am at -7 front and -7 back I think

You should dial your rears 10 clicks clockwise to go to -16. man that is soft.

That I'm aware of for our cars, yes. The next closest is a remote-mount for the rear adjusters that BC makes. But it's not electronic control.

Oh, well I feel dumb. I'm glad I asked! But what are the service technician settings, does anyone know? Do they make a difference or could they cause issues?

I'm dialed in pretty stiff, can't remember the exact amout. I think I cranked it down and went back to -5ish. I will have to check now that I know about the -16+ settings not being part of the equation.

Seems strange to me that they would do that, does it say that in the manual or something? I got mine used.

The tein manual says you may damage the internals if you go past 16.

Go to tein.com click on model/price, Nissan, then click on the photo icon for the a33. Then scroll down and download the instructions

I think they reduce the pressure for the technician tearing them down

^cool good to know. I never set them more than -16 anyways, even around -12ish they were still too soft.

I just ran them through all the 'clicks' to check them so I was sure I adjusted them evenly, and had a baseline for settings. Thanks Knight!
