Btw he's going to need spacers in front that offset is too high for 9" for the front, 10mm spacers would be good. Run 235/40 front and 245/40 in the rear anything bigger is just retarded! You're not a truck and if that tire is too "small" for you and you want more tire get smaller rims because 19s with big *** tires = complete fail!

You know how stupid that will look! Your rear is going to be so much bigger then your front, run the tire sizes I recommended above.

There can you see now?

This.

Yea that size is common because its for trucks

That meaning the lower the offset the further out the wheel sticks, correct?

So a 19x10 with +22 offset would be pretty aggressive... such as a certain type of Tenzo Type M wheels someone is running on here haha.

Yeah I know, I know, as I said above, I got it backwards, you guys have it correct.

235/35 = .4" Shorter than stock (OD)
245/40 = .8" taller than stock (OD)
255/40 = 1.1" taller than stock (OD)

Maxima Kings suggestion is a decent one, I wouldn't want to run any taller than the 245/40 I currently run on the back. Although for personal imput, I do not feel that it is anywhere near a 'truck tire', I actually like the way it fills out the wheel well (front to back). In either case, I have 225/40's on the front and a 235's for the rear next summer to bring me to stock height, but the 225/40's on a 8.5" wheel are waay too much stretch for me, and causing huge camber wear.

For reference here is my rear with a 245/40/19x9":

+3, to keep the stock G37 size isn't horrible, but to get to stock Diameter I need to pawn off my first born child!!! I wish I would've researched a little deeper before this purchase.... Looks like I may have to run the higher OD after I roast my spare set. And due to the stretch in the front, that won't take too long.

yea...depending on your roads, you might run a greater risk of damage..unless you have a hard sidewalled tire, like federal

That's what Prince Drew is running in the pic that was posted. I am not so much trying to figure out the smallest tire I can run, but more like the largest tire I can run with out rubbing when I am lowered. I think I am going to have to run a 235/35 in the front, so I am leaning towards a 255/35 in the rear, I would just like to have confirmation that it will fit. I know not that many people have this size wheels on their maxima so I know getting a definate answer is a shot in the dark....but I can hope

Just wondering since I ran a 245/35/19 and was lowered about 2" on a 5th gen. Only rubbing issue was the bumper tab on the rear bumper. No fender roll.

how wide and what was the offset of your wheel? What is the bumper tab I keep hearing about? Something that needs to be cut out of the fender well?

Yes, the rear bumper tab inside the rear quarter panels. I used a dremel tool to trim the tab. Offset was 35mm with a 8.5" wheel. And keep in mind that only one side rubbed because of the rear beam not being centered.

does it cause any problems with the bumper (since it is a mount point for the rear), or is it a minimal amount that you have to remove?

I only removed up to the point of where the bolt holds the bumper to the body. So it is a minimal amount removed so the bumper is still secured onto the body and does not flap around. I would take a picture but it is raining outside.

The 'tab' is just where they mate the bumper to the rear quarter, it's actually a seam that is pressed at the factory. Cutting an inch off it will in no way affect the bumpers securement.

But you will almost certainly have to cut it or you'll rub. Tin snips, a cut off wheel on a grinder, a dremel, whatever, but you might as well do it while the tire is off on the rear.

Keep in mind that the cheapest place I have found for 245/35/19 summer tires have been discounttiredirect.com. They include free shipping as well. Tirerack has higher prices.
Anyway i just picked up a set of tires and it was $716 shipped for Hankook Ventus.

I get all my tires from discount tire (probably 7 sets now, 3 of which were mine). Just walk into any americas store and they will price match anyone out there. Their mounting and balance fee includes lifetime rotation and rebalancing along with flat repairs. Can't beat that. screw the rack !

Thanks for the heads up.
I was just surprised that tirerack was almost $100 more for the same tires.

Yeah I didn't quote you to contradict or inform you, just to reaffirm and elaborate.

just as an update, I ordered 255/35 and 235/35's They are already mounted on the wheels, I just haven't had time to roll my rear fenders so that I can put them on.

Nope, and there won't be until the spring. I don't want to put the new wheels on until the winter has passed. I still need to roll my fenders too, I would rather roll them when it gets a little bit warmer so I won't have to rely so much on the heat gun.

I'll see what I can do. Just imagine those wheels with some really skinny tires
