Adjustable, and easily dismantled / re-installed?

Sure, write it up with pictures. Either you'll pave the way for a nice DIY mod, or you'll unintentionally prove the value of NWP's product. Either way, should be an interesting thread.

Can someone elplain to me the benifits of the torque link.

It seems to me it would put alot more stress on your drivetrain during hard shifts.

But what would the benfit be qwker response between shifts ?

Give me the low-down guys ive been hearing about this mod alot lately.

maybe it does maybe it doesnt. i did it for better traction all i get is wheel hop if i wanna go fast. so pop your hood look in the engine bay and rev the motor up watch how it snaps back i installed this and where its installed (passenger side) motor barely moves at all cause its now solid to the unibody. its supposed to remove all the extra play from motor to trans to wheels to ground. i guess our cars have bad traction...

Not bad. I see what you're saying about the welding. With that perpendicular design between the flat bracket and the vertical bracket, there's a serious about of stress there. But I don't know diddly about welding to say one way or the other.

Ingenious effort, though. Adjustable, removable, easy-2-install.

Here's NWP's Torque Link (on my car), for comparison:

yea there is a lot of stress there but if you take that little tiny bolt out its super tiny and i dont know if you know anything about bolts but its grade 3, 10 being the hardest so if the little bolts can hold it then the weld wil never break.

Have you put it to the test yet ? wheel hop gone?

Cause I get some serious hop from first to second shifts. It makes me cringe sometimes cause its so bad..

I tried polly inserts but they didnt realy help my hop at all, just transferred more vibration . So I went back to stock mounts.

I don't think you should call it a "Torque Link"... that's a NWP product name, and it's not cool to just take it like that. Seriously, ask the Mod to change your title to "Custom Engine Brace" or something like that.

But otherwise, you get a thumbs-up for the DIY nature of this project.

ok so of course i tested it lol.

first dumped it at about 3000rpm seemed to hook right up.
then bout 4500rpm dumped it spun em up to like 6000rpm
wheel hop is still there but not like before where it was teeth jarring
by the way i had 225/5017 all seasons on then switched to 245/45/17 maxx performance summer thats where all my wheel hop comes from also they are run flat tires so they are rock hard anyways but this mod i made at least makes it bearable to take off fast

first of all i think it feels more responsve at 3000rpm+ and way more traction overall. through first and beging of second. if i dump second before this mod i could roast em easy but now it seems like i have to try harder. also i took it on the interstate and if you have a 6spd 6th is always been doggy for me now it feels like there is a lil more there maybe its just in my head not sure but i do like it

Really? I didn't know that. OK then.

It is a a fitting name. Transfer energy into the drive-train rather than absorb it by lifting the engine.

It's right there at the bottom of the 5th gen forum: NmexMAX and PuppetMaster.

The main rod in the NWP device is right-threaded on one end, and left-threaded on the other end. That's how you compress or extend the link by turning it, because the ends are threaded in opposition.

I've had a Link on mine for a little over a year now and went through two driver side tranny mounts. What happens is the brace will stiffen up the passengers side pretty well, but under hard shifting even with ES motor mounts the drivers side starts to take the slack and slowly gets weaker and weaker. Besides a little increased engine noise & vibration inside the car, I like the link. I just had to stop the hard launches so this mount will last a little longer.

I'd be interested in one of these.
You should look into one of those clothes line hanger things. I don't remember because I was a little kid when my mom would hang laundry to dry in our basement. But the thing on the line was like the nwp version, Where it was threaded on both ends, however turning it would adjust the tension on the clothes line.
