Sensor location at front bumper
Sensor location at front bumper
Hi all,
I just replaced my radiator support on my 01 I30. I'm all done but I was wondering if anyone knows the proper location of the sensor that is on a three inch long and looks like it has a nipple on the end of it. The wiring harness comes from around the windshield washer bottle, and currently I have it screwed into the bottom of the radiator support (facing straight up and down) but I'm thinking it goes below the headlight maybe?
I have the airbag sensor with the yellow connector at the center (below the hood latch), the horn, and the small ground wire but those all go in the center area.
This sensor is to the lower passenger side that I am wondering about.
Thanks

What you are wondering about is the ambient (outside) air temperature sensor. The bracket that it mounts on looks like a backwards letter F. It sounds like you have it in the correct position.

Thank you very much. That makes sense.
I just don't know why it would be positioned there to collect the roadspray and slush? I just wanted to make sure it wasnt part of the abs system (even though most connectors have the yellow connector to them).
Thanks for the picture too.
