Heated seat switch blinking? searched and checked FSM

So my heated seats still work i think, but the light on the rocker switch started blinking recently. If i put it on the high setting (orange light) it will blink, but i can switch it to low (green light) and the blinking sometimes stops, sometimes doesnt. If it does stop blinking i can then switch it back to high and it will stay solid. I dont get it. The passenger seat doesnt do this from my testing so far (it also gets used FAR less than the driver side seat heater, )

Its not a short i dont think as the blinking appears to be timed ... its very constant .. not a fade in / fade out like a bad connection or anything ..

i've checked the FSM and couldnt find any mention of it as a warning light or anything ... since i couldnt find a thread here that specifically mentioned it i guess its rare?

anyone know what this means or experienced this before?

I don't think I've ever heard of that happening, I'm curious to find out what it is though.

single bulbs can be multiple colors right?

i'm pretty sure this is stock ... i'm sure there are other 5.5 gen owners that can attest to this out there.

green is low and orange is high heat

I don't have heated seats but I looked in the FSM. The wiring diagram for the 2002 shows 2 lamps in the switch. Same thing in the 2000 FSM.

Yeah thats not where the switches normally go, looks like you have to do some investigating and see where those wires lead to.
