I will do it first thing tomorrow to get my car back. There is no damage anywhere that i can see except a hole in the skid plate. Im really confused to how it happened where there is no other damage to the car except a melted hole.

definitely would love to see pics of the damage! that sucks though. and as far as the record things go, I'm sure that's nothing .they probably just needed to have a reason to go out there and had to record it.

No. Too much heat from what he described.

Pics

Here are the pics to where it has happened.

I believe it was either my alternator or my battery which both of them i ended up replacing today.

I had just gotten a battery interstate which they tested it and it was defective and my alternator was bad also I endue changing that to.

There is no other damage except just the skid plate having a hole.

So, uh, was the car drive-able after the fire? It almost looks like your alternator spontaneously combust and dropped off the block, taking your splash guard with it, only it's still there, peeking out through the hole!

Cripes, man, that's intense.

Yeah I was surprised I thought the car was way more damaged. And there are other pipes on the way but I think they were heat resistant and nothing happened. I called the tow truck just in case but I let the car run and nothing happened. I still had warranty so I changed it
