MORE stuff about your Max (that you probably didn't know).

Keys in the car, car running, driver's door open.

If you click the "Lock All" switch (to lock all the doors), the Max won't let you. I'm guessing this is so that you don't get locked out of the car while it's running.

Knew that one. Did it once while the back door was still open. Engine doesn't have to be running...keys just have to be in the ignition.

I had to do it a couple of times to make sure it wasn't a fluke I love it! Especially useful when I return videos at Blockbuster and drop off Mail at the mailbox. When I get out of the car with the engine running, I usually speak out loud "doors unlocked" to make sure I don't lock myself out...guess I don't have to now.

Not totally fool proof since I've locked myself out twice

You can open the door and accidentally push the lock closed as pushing the door open. I've done this twice with the car running and had to call my girlfriend to bring my spare keys. At first I thought it was a fluke...then I learned to make sure the locks are open before shutting the door.

ya i knew this for a long time. it sucks. it kills the keypad totally. you can't leave the car running if you want to go get the mail or something and lock the car. sucks.

Time to stick a key in your wallet

If it's like my forth Gen you can still lock the doors with a key while the car is running, I keep one in the ash tray for this. It does not make sense to have this 'feature' on a car with keypad entry though.
