My volume up/down and tuner are intermittent. However that's more a 'feature' of the PAC remote adaptor going into my Pioneer HU.

BTW, happy new years Navfe.

I've noticed that when my audio controls don't work, if you tilt the wheel a degree or two, they work fine. I can't make heads or tails out of that.

Any relation to ambient temperature?

For those using PAC, switch to the Axxess ASWC. MUCH better product.

Montego Murph - you've got PM.

My car used to do that. When I replaced the unit with a new unit from Daveb it stopped doing that. Maybe a loose connection with the unit itself or on the cable.

Mine have trouble working when it is cold outside (<60). The contacts could also be dirty. I took mine apart and cleaned the contacts. The buttons worked significantly better after that.

How many commands can you program? When I used the IR version of the SWI-X, I programmed Vol Up + Vol Down = mute, etc.

Unfortunately, lost all of those extras when I switched to the directly connected version for my Eclipse Radio.

your clock spring is bad and needs replacing.

I have had the steering wheel switches fail, usually just swap them out and good to go, every once in a while encounter the clock spring breaking and needs replacing.

Mine used to do that, but when I replaced just the buttons, that problem disappeared...go figure

Not 100% on that. It definitely does everything the OEM buttons do. It's just MUCH faster in response time than the PAC units.
