p0011 driving me nuts
p0011 driving me nuts
constantly getting p0011, p0429, and occasionally p0430.
the seal around spark plug chamber #5 was shot, so i just replaced the VC. having read that low oil pressure could be a cause of all these codes figured it was worth it.
still get the codes.
research tells me that p0011 is the camshaft position sensor over advance. my advance should be 15 degrees. ran the car for over an hour connected to my laptop. advance never went above 15, and only dropped to 14.5 for about 3 secs at the beginning.
ordered a new sensor from rock auto. if that doesnt work, any other suggestions?
as for the 420/430 there is a tsb about a firmware upgrade to fix these, and i am waiting for my local stealership to get their equipment up and running to get that done. using 93 oct gas seems to help, but only prolongs when the code shows up.
