Cv joints. Where to buy

My joints are gone. At least I think they are. They click with anything more than a 1/4 rev of the steering wheel. No sound when in neutral. I need some help deciding. Obviously cost is a factor. New or remanufactured? Online store, eBay or Local store (autozone, oreilly, napa)?

Use the search button. There was a recent thread about axles and which ones to get and which ones to avoid.

Personally, I favor the OEM shafts. They're expensive to purchase, but if your OEM shafts are still in decent shape they can be rebuilt. I've got a place local that rebuilt and installed both 3rd gen shafts for 150 dollars(45000 miles ago, still strong). You really can't beat that. The only reason I found them was because it is incredibly hard to source 3rd gen, 5spd, ABS, LSD, VE axles. I'm extremely glad I did. They also repack and replace boots for 15 bucks a piece if you bring in the shaft. Killer deal and saves a lot of time and hassle.

A quick search of your area brought up Aurora Clutch. They look like a pretty nice business. You should call them and check it out. Raxles is another option that I only read good things about, but they seem to not always stock all axles for the Maxima. As stated, I think you should look into getting your OEMs rebuilt.
