Quick Moog question...

I know this belongs in the steering/suspension section, but there isn't much activity going on there. Moog apparently has two part numbers for our 5/5.5 gen Inner tie rods, EV427 and EV458, has anyone done their tie rods with these numbers and have any complications? I purchased the EV458, but just seems weird there are 2 different part numbers that say fit. Any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.

I appreciate it but that can't be right, 03-08 Models aren't the same..Online says EV458 but local store says EV427..I guess I'll find out when I attempt to install them. Thanks.

Ok cool. I think the mix up is depending on whether car was built in 03 or not.

Searched everywhere on this exact topic, but not finding any luck with a definitive answer for moog inner tie rod for a 2003. I have an SE w/17" wheels if that even matters.
Sorry to pick up on an old thread, but this was closest...but did not conclude with an answer...

So, is it EV427 or EV458? Would appreciate comments from anyone on which part you installed in an '03. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I ordered both the EV427 and the EV458 from Amazon. I compared them to my existing inner tie rods (again, 2003 model year), and the EV427 are longer (by maybe half inch). The EV458 matched the length of the existing inner tie rods, so I went with those and returned the EV427. The EV458 were cheaper on Amazon anyway, so bonus. But what a pain with the confusion on which to use for the 2003.
