UPS Shippers
We never really have problems with UPS except this one time.
We sold about 2000 pieces of harddrives to a customer in "Africa" (i'm foreal), and that customer's check was bounced, so we called UPS and ask them to return the shipment. After about a month, the shipment finally came back. And there about 500 harddrives missing. After dealing with UPS about this situation for 3 months, they finally paid everything. But I think as long as its in the states, there shouldn't be any problems

my dad owns a small hotel, and we get plenty of shipments from UPS. we always get the order, they never lost anything, but a lot of the times, the boxes are smashed and crushed. we can't blame UPS for that since a lot of the hotel supplies we order come from large factories, so it is very possible that the boxes were messed up from the factory. UPS is good, very satisfied(my gateway computers were sent through them, the boxes are in perfect condition). when you have to ship a lot of stuff, especially large things, UPS is the best.

you must be indian like me
I work very closely with our shipping department at work and they say that UPS is very reliable dispite every now and then a damaged box. If you do ship UPS be sure to package your product very well (bubble wrap, foam, packing peanuts, etc.) You might want to check into FedEx they also do ship via ground and the fellas say the prices are about the same.
BTW I'm part American Indian

No problem that I'm aware of when it comes to billing issues. We do all our transactions over the internet and weight everything at our warehouse accordingly to what ever shipping company we use. As far as the billing invoice that the company sends us there doesn't appear to be any hidden fees. May want to contact UPS to inquire?

I am the shipping manager (among other things) for a small metal shop. I have never had billing problems with ups, but they do love to damage packages. And my company makes heavy duty industrial cleaning baskets. For example, a small 12x12 basket can hold in excess of 100lbs, and UPS somehow manages to even damage those.
Just to note: more often than not, when a package is damaged, it is due to the box taking 15-20 ft drop off a conveyer belt at the sorting facility, not to driver negligence. You would think they would put side rails on their conveyors...

I have worked the lines
for UPS and RPS in my area. Man UPS is a much better place to ship through.
At RPS we were required to unload so fast that we would jam the lines, stuff would fall off and such. Happens at ALL facilities I would imagine, but the key is to pack your stuff the best you can. We used to throw off monitors, printer, computers and what not from the top of the truck, down like 15 - 20 feet to the belt without thinking twice.
Rememer: Good thick boxes, lots of packaging to keep your stuff from rattling around and you are good to go. Wimpy box = damage!

I've heard bad stories about how roughly all these high volume shipping companies treat their stuff. Things fall off conveyor belts, get stacked (or compressed) like a ****, and long items (like a fishing rod, FSTB, etc etc.) get stuck sideways in passageways as it hurtles down the belt.... Of course then that crate of 12 anvils comes crashing in behind it....
I recommend encasing your item in solid epoxy resin before shipping.
