Zaino Brothers

I've been thinking about trying Zaino Brothers products on my 2K2 gray luster...anyone have any experience with it (their ad looks real good)? I want to keep this thing looking as good as I can so I want to use the best products I can find. I've always been a fan of Meguire's but have some tell me the Zaino's is much better. I don't want to start a war (everyone has their favorites) but I am looking for imput from the group. I have looked thru the thread on cleaning and picked up some good hints but I'm looking for more specific information on just polish/and or wax.

Thanks
Gary

I use it on both my black and silver Maximas and it works great. My two complaints are that up here in Canada we can't get the accelerator product (yet) and it takes a day to dry at sub-zero temps without it. My other complaint with the black car is that the paint is so soft. Every day there are new scratches and buffing them out is easier with old fashioned polishes followed by wax. Zaino requires a de-waxing step first for it to be most effective.

I put four coats of Zaino's paint protection products on my 2k1 Gray Lustre Maxima SE on June 21, 2001. The wax is STILL beading water like crazy and the shine is terrific! I'm very pleased with Sal's products and highly recommend them.

You are aware, of course, that besides Super Black, Gray Lustre is next best "dust magnet" Nissan makes?

Yea, I know it is. I was going to get the Sterling Mist which I really like but when I saw the darker color I just had to have it (I had sworn I'd never own a dark car again). Thanks for the information.

Blue catches dust easily too. I like the Grey Lustre actually. Meguiar worked well except they are harder to apply and left residue. Zaino is easy, smells good, last long, and shine nicely.

I have used Zaino for about 4 years now and love it! I too was a Meguiers fan but after using the Zaino never looked back. I have a guy here that sells it for Sal, so I only have about a 15 min. drive to go pick some up. The best thing about it is how easy it is to use, I mean after the car is washed it only takes less than an hour on/off. When I first got my 2k it had what Sal refers to as "raildust" - the paint felt like sandpaper. I used the clay bar, #1, #5 x2, then #2 x2, and it came out BEAUTIFUL! Paint was smooth as glass and no swirls. My uncle is a die hard Meguiers guy and just bought a new Mitsi Spyder (Black) I was telling him to try Zaino and he wouldn't spend the money - Plus he loves Meguiers. I bought him #1 and #2 for Christmas last year and he is now hooked! He said he won't use anything else from now on. Oh, and let's not forget the Zaino has absolutely no dust residue.

Ten Years Experience

I have used many waxes over the years and detailed cars during college to help pay bills. I always thought that Mothers Three-step was the best but needed nearly three hours of time to make car appear as glass. Most people would not pay that price and got a store bought waxing instead!

I tried Zaino with the recommendation of Maxima.org and can easily say that it is as good if not better and takes less time to get results. You must follow directions though, even down to the use of Dawn liquid to prep finish. Zaino is a synthetic though and provides optical brightness but fails only in depth. No Carnuba Wax exists in most of their products.

I have recently begun using Pinnacle waxes and it also provides a similar beauty but the paint looks wet! The other news is that their Crystal Mist detailer works wonders between waxes and also with dust. It helps my wifes Platnium Supercharged Regal looking clean all week. Try the carbon kit at www.autosupermart.com. or at least use Crystal Mist with the Zaino as I do on my Maxima to get the best of both worlds....

Mequires---Mass product
Mothers---time consuming
Zaino---brightness
Pinnacle---depth
