Is your 6 Speed a bit rought to shift? For the first two days (it was fine this morning) I had problems getting into some of the gears, especially 2nd from 1st. I think it's just a breakin thing so I was just wondering your experience.

From 2nd to 1st is hard even after 2000 miles. It seems that at a certain speed you can do it, but when the rpm is high it doesn't want to give in.

Sometimes I find reverse hard to go into.

thanks to all for the cool welcome and good wishes...(been a .org lurker for a while, now i can actually post!!!)

well, i didnt drive it all today, due to the snow (gotta love the few inches we get here in ATL)...but last nite coming home from the dealership, it would be a bit rough sometimes, but i think i just had to get the revs low enough...my first manual trans car (have had auto's till now)...and lovin every mintue of it...

so guys and ladies, a question for y'all...last nite the dealer detailed it for delievry, drove it home on roads taht were snowy, slushy, full of road salt,snow,gravel...now theres the residual dust taht comes from all that...think i could get him to detail it again in a few days when the roads are clear and dry?

cheers and thankz to all, look forward to the .org community...

AK

-congrats to all those who also got the 3.9% deal too

Congrats MaxAk
I live in Atl and bought a sterling mist se (auto) last thursday and the car is a blast to drive. You are completely right about the snow in Atl-we have to enjoy it while it lasts. Just one thing, when i financed my car my interest rate was 0.9% for 3 yrs. so if i were you i'd go back to the dealer and let them know that 0.9 is available unless you were financing for more than 3 years. Oh and I bought my car from United Nissan in Jonesboro.

Hey AK, congrats on the ride. Sounds very similiar in equip level to my 2K2 SE, mine is Sterlilng Mist with black cloth, 6spd, Bose, roof, guards, deflector/ How much were u able to get knocked off sticker? My MSRP was 28,200.00 and i was able to get almost 2K knocked off sticker, 2% over invoice. Love my Max, have had 2 months and only have 1200 miles, not my daily driver. Cant stand the thought of getting it dirty, shifter doesnt seem stiff to me, only problem is hitting 4rth instead of 6th every once in a while.

Conrgrats and welcome to all the new members on their 2002's. Just remember, we live by the law of the mods. So please, mod, mod, mod. Before i came to this board I lurked on the honda-acura.net board. I just never even bothered to even post there, but this board seems to be populated by lots of really knowledgeable people that seem to be very helful. You still will find some idiots that flame here , they are in a small minority. Again, welcome and congrats on an excellent choice in an automobile.
