Hi everyone.

I've got a 2000 maxima which I've had for a month or so now. I really love the car but a couple of problems are making things more than a little annoying !!

Basically, the car regularly stalls - particularly when coming to a stop (i.e. rolling up to a roundabout for example), or sometimes when stopped at lights - especially if I try to put in park or neutral. The other issue I have is that the car accelerates fine if you do it slowly, or even with medium acceleration - but if I plant my foot it screws up ! It has a bit of a rattly noise when accelerating too. When I try to accelerate hard it drops gear ok, but revs climb so high then its like its hesitating/struggling and the engine makes a kind of barbling noise (not good at describing this lol). If I back off a bit then it will accelerate fine but it's a bit of a pain if you are trying to overtake or something. Any ideas ?

Totally off topic, but also on a hot sunny day the dash dials/odometer etc completely die !! What's that all about ? When the sun goes down or it gets a bit cooler they come back on again. Its really annoying because I've been hit hard for speeding before and not knowing what speed you're doing isnt good ! I can use the gps on my sat nav but its far from ideal - also means I can't use cruise control which is a proper pain in the ***.

Any help you folks might be able to offer would be greatfully received !
