newbie with questions

got a 2002 SE. No check engine light on. Got an irritating engine tick that I can not get rid of. Seems like it started after I changed the oil. Also, seems like it has a slight hesitation that's brief at take off. At highway speeds it sometimes "jerk" but hasn't lost any speed. Just not sure where to start with no codes to read.

how many miles you got on it? check your oil pressure, it could be to low caused by either a bad oil pickup pump or a clogged screen. this will cause a dry tick in the valves. none of those will throw a code, so id check there.

not to bad at all, drain oil, remove the bolts holding oil pan on, oil screen will be in the oil pan and the pump should be bolted to block right there when u drop the pan, 1 hour of work tops.

cool, thanks man. One more question, would this have anything to do with the slight hesitation at take off?and the jerking that happens every now and then? Would bad plugs or coil packs cause this? And wouldn't bad plugs or packs throw a code?
