Going to take my 03 to the dragstrip

What should I expect? Any tips for tire pressures or other tricks etc?

I figure if I can get a 14.XX I'll be happy but any pointers are appreciated. I've been to the track multiple times but never with this car or any FWD for that matter.

It's difficult to give tips since track conditions can vary so much. I'd lower down your front tire pressures a bit, but not too much.

Basically you have to experiment with what works for you. Good luck.

Lighten the load by removing the spare tire and jack, practice the launch which will reduce the amout of wheel spin, change gears just before the redline and just be quick with it. And as T_Behr904 said lower the tire pressure for great tractions. Around 25psi would be good. I can't wait to hit the tracks

This is such a vague question OP.
You didn't list what mods if any you have, where you're located(elavation) which track, I could go on. Auto or manual etc Forgot we have mind readers and Psychic's on here...

You're so right. I didn't even put into consideration that he might have a automatic

Bristol Motor Speedway was super busy today. Ran 3 passes and had a solid 15 second 1/4 mile at 92 mph. Had heavy 350z rims, wide tires, and made no tire pressure adjustments.

Took it out there tonight and it went a best of 14.90 @ 94 MPH. I couldn't get a better than 2.3 sec 60 foot even with the front tires deflated in 28-25-20 psi increments, it did that with the TC on and off with a careful launch. I think with optimal cool down time (the most I did was let it sit with the hood up for 30 mins max) and a good launch it would run a bit better.

Not bad for a 10 year old V6 FWD automatic I guess.

not a bad time. What is the altitude from sea level of the track, outside temperature and humidity?
