transmission over heats

i have a 03 maxima that overheats any time i drive it. it happens more offten when the outside temperature is over 70F degrees or if i have the heater on. When it over heats, the transmission slips no matter what gear its in. i shut off the engine wait for about 10 minutes, start driving again. at this point everything seems normal untill it over heats again. no dtc...radiator was replace with the tranny fluid two weeks ago..
i appriciate any helpful comment.
Thank you

have you checked your transmission fluid? Is it low? Does it smell burnt? When was it last replaced? Any other info?

Have you checked the radiator fluid level? The transmission lines run through it.

Check the transmission fluid, make sure it's full and not smell burnt. But it sounds like the filter is clogged up with crap, meaning the transmission/ converter might be coming apart. You can try drop the pan and inspect for debris.
