t_behr, if you move the conversation on to the Buick as a false equivalence, that places me in the position of going negative on the Grand National, which is a position I totally would and should fail with. But my opinion isn't about the Buick, it's about the POS Dodge.

Does that trick come naturally to you, or was it intentional? It's hard to tell without actually observing someone in a face-2-face conversation. Either way, it's a clever little thing, and effective more often than not.

Since Aackshun's knowledge of American cars only goes back to the Fox body Mustang, I was giving him a bit of a history lesson.
How much is one of those compared to a 370Z? They are both powerful V6 rwd performance coupes.
The one thing I don't like about Hyundai's is there past reputation, and their reliability even still today, and their build quality. Since i've been working for a rental car company, we've had more problems with Hyundai's than all of our other cars combined.

The specs of the new Dart do look good. Dodge does have a history working with the late Carrol Shelby tuning and building turbo 4 cylinder cars. One sleeper of a car was the Spirit. Not an attractive car, but it was quick for it's time. Same thing with the Omni GLHS.

For 1500 never thought twice about going to look at it ..
I was making a point about how auto manufacturer's would take a car and transform it into something else. That's what Dodge did with the Dart over 40 years ago, and what they later did with the Neon.

Debate much?

Meh.
You should go buy it, now. They were made in limited numbers, and with a few tweaks you can have a 400whp super sleeper that will attract minimal attention from the local fuzz.
No, not quite. If you want to talk up the merits of that old Dodge nameplate, then by all means, talk it up. Instead, what you did was to shift things away from the Dart, so that it included the entire Dodge brand, and then even the whole era of lightweight, cheap cars with big engines.

Comparing cars will always be highly debatable since everyone has widely variating opinions on them. The topic of discussion can easily spin one way or another when making comparisons.
but my wife would probably divorce me if I brought home another car again. Without her promision. The maxima is the only hobby car I need right now til I'm done with it..
Aackshun 2 things im having issues getting the trans to fully seat with the motor is there a trick?and please inform Cleatus the fleamarket mod king that 3 car lengths equils about 4-7 seconds off his 1/4 ET times.its all about balance
I see them on the road every once and a while. You mostly see them show up at car shows and meets.
There's a monthly meet here where alot of old school stuff shows up. I've seen 428 Cobra Jet Mustangs to Studebaker's, and the newer stuff like the Cyclone and Typhoon.

Fully-loaded, a Gen Coupe R-Spec with a V6, close-ratio 6MT, Brembo brakes, and a few other gadgets, runs just a hair under $30k. That's a far cry from the 370z's $32k for a base model.
What reliability issues are y'all seeing pop up? I've not heard a lot of things about the Gen Coupe. Far as I've seen, the first gen actually only had one or two TSBs, and that was pretty much it. That's impressive for a first-generation car. Especially when companies like Nissan, who are well-known for their reliability, have to issue seven or eight TSBs per vehicle.

EG. Why I know a bit about the GNX because of me attempting to fool w/ my 3.8 in the Camaro.
This guy.
Bad ****'s.
You should be able to get it on most of the way, leaving about 1/4 an inch of space, I use the bolts to close her up the rest of the way.
And no a carlength = about .2 on the ET's
Essential1 or GH17 would know that better.
On such instance: when I used to work for a rental company, we had a customer leave with a Sonata (2011 model), and come back a day and a half later complaining of a wobble in the front end, and that it was pulling to the right; the car hadn't done either when I went out to our on-airport location to pick it up. Went out to inspect it, and both of the rims were bent, like it had been run up over a curb or something at high speeds.
What model did the brakes quit working on? In the three years I was in the car rental business, we had more issues with GMs than we did Hyundais.
Very few vehicles can take the abuse of being a rental car.
Brett, who makes good brakes for you G-fellas?
I want slotted rotors and some light dusting pads.
Our GM cars seem to be holding up fine. I can recall an Impala that had a CEL, but that's about it.
If we ran maxima vs maxima
This what I would see

You guys better both be @ maxus
I'd suggest Hawk Ceramics and either StopTech's slotted rotors, or Centric's.
Akebono makes pads for the G, too. I've heard decent things about their products.
So I'm a tad bit unfamiliar with all of these other companies that don't sell on our .org.
Akebono eh? Hrmmmmm.....
With the MT, when this happens, the clutch is misaligned. I haven't put up an auto in forever so I wouldnt be able to give you details.
They are doing what chevy did, nobody wanted a fcuken Cavalier, so the changed its name to a cobalt, now its the cruze. Nobody wants a neon now, so they tried the caliber which was stupid, now they are going back to a car.
to be honest the dart doesnt look bad.
