A/C delete on 5th gen?

So I haven't had AC in my max for the past few years and I have the compressor taken out of the car now for replacing the alternator. I might need a new belt, and I was wondering if deleting the AC was as simple as when they ask if the car has AC or not, I would order the non AC belt and that would be the shorter length?

Or if there's a different belt I should order/ more in depth of the process

Thanks a lot guys

Nissan has never offered the Maxima (1987-2012) without a/c. Never heard or seen it in j-spec or US spec cars. Aussie units, i dont know but i doubt it. Ive looked at FSM's for 3rd, 5, and 5.5 gens and it's not mentioned there either.
You are going to learn the when you go to auto parts stores, they are effectively paid to do a parts search on the computer. Many of them are idiots. In any case, I don't know anyone who is an expert on all cars. For that reason, they have a computer set up which asks a set of question regardless of whether it applies to your car.

Go to any online auto parts supplier. 99% of them will ask you in selecting your vehicle which engine it has, even though Nissan started putting the same engine in its Maxima despite designation (ie: SE vs GXE or whatever) in 1995. Why do they ask? Because in order to get to the parts, it is required.
Why do autoparts store ask if a/c or not? Because they have to, not because it's an option.
If you want to delete the AC, fine. Take a measuring tape and run it along the path bypassing the AC. That should give you the length you need. Of course, that is assuming the setup will allow you to even install and properly tighten a belt in absence of the AC.

You can get a smaller belt and by-pass the a/c compressor. You need a belt that is 920mm or 36 1/4 inch. The smaller belt is tensioned to the same spec as the full sized belt.

This is page MA-13 of the FSM:
