Trying to sell my 2000 maxima, and then The drivers side mirror got busted while it was parallel parked. I ordered a new one. It came in today but it's all black plastic, it wont match the other side.

Has anyone already tried swapping that piece? I mean it seems removable, but i can't tell if it'd just get destroyed. Tryin to save $50 at the paint shop lol

Thoughts?

It should be removable, but I believe the screws for it are behind the mirror. So you would have to remove the actual mirror itself without breaking it to be able to change it. I would probably just pony up the $50 for the paint shop to do it, especially since you're selling the car, I'd bet you won't be worried about that $50 after the car's sold. Lol.

I'm pretty sure someone asked this questions less than 2 months ago. Use the search, they were given detailed instructions. I believe it is possible and easy.
